RE: Storing Toy Hauler

Never do.
It would be bad enough to lose the trailer, but to give them the toys also.... No way.
Plus even though I have insurance, it will take 5 mos to rebuild my buggy. I can't miss that much duning!!!!!
Well if I had the toys that you have I wouldn't be even considering it.
3 car garage and not 1 single car in it...... except if you call the buggy a car. :)

RE: Shoring up my WW

Keep up on making sure the roof stays sealed good, especially in rainy areas.

RE: gas.... how much more is it really costing you?

I have done the math for me personally.
I burn 75 gallons of diesel getting to the dunes and back.
It will cost me $100 more a trip at $4.70/gal vs $3.35/gal last dune season.
No biggie, the wife would spend more than that in a weekend if we stayed home..... Eating out, going to the mall, nails, toes blah blah blah.... I would rather be out tearing up the sand!!!!!!

RE: Weekend Warrior Weight Listing

They list weights separately so people have an idea of how much pin weight they are going to have.
BTW, those weights are WAY off from reality.
My 06 LE3905 had a pin weight of almost 2700lbs and a total weight of 11,600lbs.
That was on the way home from picking it up, so everything was empty, except for 20 gallons of gas and full propane.

RE: Another tire question.

Just called Carlisle and there shipping me a new tire. Told to fax mounting and balanceing bill when done to them. Customer service has been fine so far but I'm still worried about the tire's. Hoping Pressure Pro finds any future problems like this last tire before there's any damage.
they have been doing this for years. Sending out new tires and taking care of the bill.
Stay away from Carlisles..... even if they ship you out all new tires for free.

RE: weight questions

These threads just kill me. Soooo much misinformation being thrown about. I think if a poll was done the majority here would not feel comfortable pulling anything longer that 35 feet without a Peterbuilt.
I feel just fine pulling my 41 footer with my F350.

RE: New Tires for my 3612 Raptor

Get new tires one time and not worry about it again.
Either Michelin XPS Ribs or Goodyears G rated tire.

RE: WW 3505 15" to 16" Upgrade?

I'd prefer not raise the trailer with blocks. I will do as "Lincster" says and try to stick with 225/75/16. Vertically there looks like enough clearance, and space between tires is substantial. The only issue looked like clearance between inner sidewall and fender well, but the 225/75 should maintain the clearance.
Thanks for the advice. Any recommendations on a 225/75/16 ?
If you are going to do it, do it right the first time and get Michelin XPS ribs.
Also, get Eagly Alloy Wheels, 0550-7766 if I remember right. These have some backspacing to them to help move the tire away from the inner fender and not rub.
You need 6 on 5.5 lug nut to fit the Warrior axles.
The wheels are what Aaron has in his pix above.

RE: WW 3505 15" to 16" Upgrade?

16" tires were standard on 07 and newer models but Warrior also started adding a 2X4 spacer to lift the trailer to allow the 16" tires to fit.
You can get 16" tires to fit on a stock height 06 trailer, but you have to go 225/75 size tires.
I did this on my first Warrior.
When I ordered my 06, I had the 2X4 spacer added which lifted the trailer and my 16" tires fit no problem. I could even go to 235/85 if I wanted to.

RE: New tire upgrade

I would do the 235/86/16. They have the highest load rating.
:)
I think mine are 235/85 (not 86).

RE: New tire upgrade

I went with 225/75/16 but only cause I didn't have the clearance on my first trailer.
If I had the room, I would do the 235/86/16. They have the highest load rating.
Good call on changing to those tires. :)

RE: 2nd AC Unit for 2005 FS30

You don't duct the second AC.
It goes over the front bedroom, it replaces the sky light.
Not sure on the 30Amp vs 50Amp.

RE: Twist throttle on quad .. love it/hate it?

My buddy rode a quad with a twist throttle, front end came up and he kept on twisting.
Ended up tweaking his back pretty good when he flipped the quad.
I say no to twist throttles on a quad.

RE: EnduraMax Wide Open 38Max Tow Vehicle

Even with the Towboss package, you will be over the tow ratings of that truck.
My 40' Warrior with NO slides is 16,000lbs when fully loaded.
I have put my setup on a CAT scale and I am at 25,960lbs.
My GCWR is 26,000lbs for my truck and I have the Towboss package.
My empty trailer wight is 11,600lbs.
I am willing to bet your empty trailer weight is 14,000-15,000lbs with 3 slides.
Will your truck do it? Yes, but it will be working it and you will more than likely be over the tow ratings.
A new F450 would handle that trailer much better.
